Life is an adventure

We have been a little crazed around here. A new grandson was born this week. Judah Michael arrived Monday evening, coming in at 9 pounds, 5 ounces and 21 inches long. He has the same dark hair his sister had when she was born two and half years ago.

We stayed a couple of days in San Mateo with our granddaughter and grandcats and then packed her up and brought her to Fresno for the rest of the week. Mom and newborn had to stay in the hospital for four days. Hopefully everyone can be reunited on Monday.

In the meantime, we have been having fun playing at the park, riding in the wheelbarrow, and today we went shoe shopping for Leeya. Terry and I are definitely falling into bed each night more tired than usual.

  1. Your new grandson is a cutie (and a BIG boy)!

    • He is a very big boy, as was his sister when she was born. We don’t know where these big babies come from as all the previous babies born in the family were under 7 pounds. My husband only weighed 5 pounds when he was born.

  2. Congratulations on the new kid! and for being helpful grandparents.

My mother worked in a shoe store while raising us. We always had Stride Rite shoes for our growing feet. Love them! even now, I often wish I could find shoes so comfy

    • I had read a news article that Stride Rite was going out of business and closing their stores. I was devastated. Fortunately, not all stores are being closed and the ones in Fresno and San Francisco are remaining open.

Congratulations! It’s amazing how similar the two look.

  4. Congratulations!! What beautiful grandchildren :-) .

  5. You sure do have gorgeous grandchildren. I’ll bet Leeya is loving having you around to play with.

    • We had a very good time together. When Leeya is here, we devote all our time and energy to her. Terry made some videos of her antics and posted them to Facebook so she can watch them after she goes back home. She loves looking at photos of her adventures, and now she loves the videos, too.

  6. Forgive my lateness in catching up on blogs, but a big hearty CONGRATULATIONS from Atlanta on that gorgeous baby boy! I love his name, too!

  7. OMG this is the CUTEST baby ever! Congrats! It looks like you guys had a fun-filled fall day :)
