One of my teaching partners dropped off a delightful little tin last week filled with Russian Tea Mix. I had forgotten all about this tasty hot drink, but I’ve been making up for it since vacation started.
Probably 30 years ago, when I was working in the cottonseed industry, our office would have wonderful lunches and we would all try new recipes and bring tasty concoctions to work. One of these was Russian Tea, a very fancy name for instant tea mix and Tang with some spices thrown in. It would make a large batch and we would share the wealth amongst ourselves. Somewhere along the line, I forgot about the recipe and after leaving cottonseed sales and heading off to teaching, neglected to ever make it again.
