Time with our grandkids

Our daughter texted me last week and asked if we could come this week to watch the kids while she met with a woman in San Francisco who ministers to sex trade workers. We got there with plenty of time to spare for her appointment, but it had been cancelled due to a overlap of obligations. Terry jokingly said, “ok, we’ll go back home.” Instead, we took the kids to Central Park which allowed Jennifer to do some much needed shopping. We had a great time playing on the playground and enjoying the “secret garden” as Leeya calls the rose garden.

Leeya used my iPhone to take some of the rose pictures.

The next day we went to Safari Run, an indoor jungle gym. Judah, who is now walking, wanted to climb and go down the slide again and again. After 5 times, I traded with Terry who did about 5 rounds. Then we traded again. I was so tired I went to bed at 8 p.m. I have figured out that doing that once a week would get me in great shape.

  1. Your grandchildren are so precious!! Love the pics :-). If you are anything like my mom, you were glad for the excuse to spend some time with the kids. My mom loves any reason she can get to see mine :-).

    • Yes, anytime Jen calls and asks us to come, we are on our way almost immediately. Our kids are so busy with their careers and all the other chores necessary to raise two children, we are happy to help out any way we can.

  2. Leeya takes pretty pictures! I love that they call it the “Secret Garden,” too. So sweet. đŸ™‚
