A day downtown

Terry and I went downtown on Wednesday. It was the first day for the Kern Street Farmer’s Market, where I got those fabulous strawberries I showed you in the last post. We walked the Fulton Mall, seeing all the flowers that are blooming, we checked into Twee Boutique’s new trailer, we had coffee at Fresno Brewing Company, and then finished the morning off with lunch at Mabel’s Kitchen, a new eatery that is only open Tuesday-Thursday and tucked into a very industrial looking building on the other side of the tracks.

Fun morning, and good exercise, especially since we had all that good food, too.

  1. Wow, that was an exceptionally fine day! Our Farmers Market opens this Saturday and I can’t wait! 🙂

    • Because I get the CSA box, I don’t buy a lot from farmer’s markets. We only get strawberries, though, once or twice, and later in the season. I’m heading back each week for these beauties. And the price is unbelievable–$11 for 6 baskets.

  2. Lovely! Sounds really fun! Pretty sights too. 🙂

  3. A beautiful day and obviously a beautiful time!
