BEAUTIFUL and yummy looking! I have never heard of doughnut peaches but their shape explains the name!
When the variety was first developed, the grower sold most of them to a SF restaurant who pitted the peach, wrapped it in puff pastry, baked it and served it with cinnamon sauce. They really are good when baked as they keep their shape.
I’ve had those peaches from our local farmers’ market, too. They are good but not as good as some others I’ve had. Those blueberries sure caught my eye, though! 🙂
