Christmas Day 2015

After a cold rainstorm yesterday (that brought snow to the foothills), we have sunshine this morning. Cold sunshine, but sunshine nevertheless for Christmas Day.

Our kids called to sing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” early this morning as they are home after a long day of church activities yesterday. (My daughter is a pastor so this is the busy time of year for her.) They will leave after church on Sunday to come spend a few days with us. We had chatted about going somewhere like the beach after Christmas, but Jen said the kids just wanted to come hang out at our house and that was fine with her. I’m putting together a few ideas for things to do here in town, but again, we may just stay indoors and play! The weather forecast is for continued cold temperatures and more rain.

Because you often read about the tours I give at Kearney Mansion, I thought you might like to see a painting of the house in its Christmas decor.
